Aiko Takara, age 15.

Petite, quiet, and striking without meaning to be. Her long black hair—touched with deep blue streaks—falls to her waist, and her bright sapphire eyes shimmer like starlight. When she smiles, dimples appear.

Aiko’s life was shattered the night her parents were brutally murdered in a targeted attack. Their home was consumed by fire, their legacy left in ashes—and Aiko herself was presumed dead. In reality, she escaped, rescued and sheltered by the family’s longtime friend, the local blacksmith Tetsurō Hoshino.

Taking her in as his granddaughter, Tetsurō devoted himself to keeping Aiko safe. Together, they abandoned their hometown and began anew in the city, living quietly in the shadows while always looking over their shoulders for the villains who had destroyed her family.

For months, Aiko’s true identity remained hidden—buried beneath an assumed life of secrecy. But after crossing paths with Izuku Midoriya, her carefully guarded world begins to unravel. Trust, once impossible, draws her closer to him, until at last she is forced to reveal the truth of who she really is.

🌸 Reverberate – Aiko’s Quirk

Reverberate is a rare ability that allows Aiko to nullify and redirect quirk energy directed at her. When struck by an opponent’s quirk, her body absorbs and neutralizes the effect, then generates a counter-force that “reverberates” back at the attacker.

✨ Core Abilities:
💙 Quirk Immunity: Aiko is completely unaffected by quirks used directly against her. Fire, explosions, restraints, and even mental attacks fail to land as Reverberate is always active, forming a passive shield that nullifies quirk effects the instant they reach her.
💙 Reverberation Effect: Any quirk used directly against Aiko doesn’t just fail — it rebounds outward, reflecting the attack back on its source in equal measure.
💙 Adaptive Reaction: With training, Aiko learns to direct the reverberation with increasing precision, choosing whether to release it instantly, delay it slightly, or disperse it harmlessly.

⚡ Limitations:
💙 Physical Force Still Hurts: Reverberate only affects quirks, not raw physical power. A punch, a kick, or falling rubble will still injure her.
💙 Energy Strain: Large-scale quirks can overwhelm her if used repeatedly in short succession, putting dangerous strain on her body if she isn’t trained well enough to handle the impact.
💙 Collateral Risk: Uncontrolled reverberations can cause damage to the environment or to allies if they are too close when the quirk rebounds.

Reverberate reflects Aiko’s role in the story—she is not just a shield, but a mirror. The quirk’s very nature forces aggressors to face their own strength, turning their power back against them. It’s an ability built on resilience, timing, and precision rather than brute force.
